Antelope Canyon is the mecca of abstract photographs. Everywhere you point your camera there is some incredibly unique form of rock that I had never imagined before. The smooth curves on the rock walls took tens of thousands of years for rushing water to carve. Located in the middle of a wash near lake Powell, when heavy Monsoon rains pound the surrounding areas, dry creeks swell to over 100' wide which then get forced through the narrow slits in this rock, sometimes as narrow as 2' wide. This powerful force creates the calm beauty of the rock walls I've come to love.
